Can you believe the colors of this lettuce?  Jeanne is a unique, very rare French heirloom from the 1700s.  We just loved it!  I know of no other lettuce more brightly colored, with the added benefit of being slow to bolt!  Large, mostly flat leaves are great colorful additions to sandwiches.

Direct sow up to 4 weeks before the average last frost. Harvest leaves young by cutting the whole plant. Plant successively every two weeks to keep you in young greens, or give them more space to mature and harvest the whole plant.
