Beautiful mallow closely related to hollyhock. 1” bright purple flowers bear in abundant clusters in early summer on stems 24” tall. Easy to grow, tolerant of a wide variety of growing conditions and poor soil.
How to grow it:
Direct sow 3-4 weeks prior to last frost date. Tolerant of a light frost. Cover with 1/3 inch soil. Or, start indoors up to 8 weeks before last frost date to get a head start. Transplants quite well provided it is kept moist during the establishment process.
