Gaillardia aristata

Intermountain west native plant attracts native pollinators and European honeybees alike. Perennial with an extensive bloom time, flower heads look attractive as both buds and seed heads. Perfect for sunny, dry spots.

How to grow it:

Start indoors 6 weeks before the average last frost date. Or, direct sow outdoors in fall or in spring around the last frost date. Seeds require light to germinate, so simply press into the soil and do not cover. Seedlings need at least 8 hours of full light exposure per day.
