Xerochrysum bracteatum

Unique, hardy flowers are perfect for drier, poorer soils. Makes an excellent, everlasting cut flower which can retain its color for years. Papery flowers dry on the living plants. Triangular petals on papery flowers resemble a cool origami creation.

How to grow it:

Direct sow around the last frost date. Cover lightly with a scant amount of soil. Thin to 12" between plants. Or, get a head start by sowing indoors 4 weeks prior to last frost date. Tolerates a wide variety of conditions from shade to full sun, but prefers well-drained soil.
