Solanum aethiopicum
80 days. Turkish Orange eggplant is a heavy producing, heirloom, loaded with tennis ball sized fruits. Fruits are edible from the green/cream stage, through to the deep orange stage, so you can get a long season of great eating off these! Plants are about 2 feet tall, and can grow well in container gardens. The fruit is sweeter than Asian eggplants, and great for stuffing. Uncommon but growing in popularity in the United States. |
