Phaseolus vulgaris

Bush dry bean. 90 days to dry bean.  An heirloom dry bean from the Oregon Coast, this dry bean is incredibly productive.  Named for the beers family who brought it from Nebraska to the Oregon Coast in 1895.  A multi-purpose dry bean with a golden-tan color.

Direct sow 1” deep after all danger of frost has passed. In row spacing is 3” with 8” between rows. Soaking seeds for 2-4 hours can hasten germination time. Planting with bean specific bacterial inoculum may help boost yields, especially if planting where beans have not grown before.
