Bush beans. We like growing Black Jet Soybeans because they are one of the earliest soybeans. Upright plants are 2-2.5 ft. tall. They are better tasting and easier to digest than other tan or yellow soybeans. Soybeans are fun to grow and eat in a variety of ways, as edamame or dry beans, or fermented into miso, tofu, or tamari.

Plants are not frost hardy, sow after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed up. We sow ours in early June, 1/2" deep. Alternatively, start indoors 2-4 weeks before last frost and carefully transplant.
