Red flowered poppy reaches 2.5' high with stunning, short lived blossoms. Seeds are easy to harvest and bake into any poppy-seeded delight or add to salad dressings.
For seed harvest, wait until the seed heads dry down and simply shake out the black seeds like a salt shaker!
How to grow it:
Direct sow around the last frost date. Cover lightly with a scant amount of soil. Tolerates a wide variety of conditions from shade to full sun, but prefers well-drained soil. Great as roadside flower planting, moderately drought tolerant.
