Raphanus sativus
30-50 days. Diverse population of delightfully colorful and spherical radishes. Fill your easter basket with these harbingers of spring! Colors range from dark purple to white, with tender baby pinks and dark reds in between. Globe shaped fruit measuring 3/4-1" in diameter. We love the lengthy harvest window this blend allows, as it is made up of different types of radishes maturing at different times. You can only eat so many radishes in a day- this blend is abundant without being overwhelming. Radishes prefer well drained soil, ample water, and organic matter.
Radishes are a great starter vegetable for beginning gardeners and this variety is apart of our Beginner Gardener package! They are a quick, early season crop to get your garden off to a great start. Nutritionally dense, radishes are an excellent source of vitamin C in both the root and the greens and also contain potassium, vitamin B6, iron and folic acid.

Sow up to 5 weeks before last spring frost, planting every 10 days for continual harvest. Plant 1/4" deep, thinning to 3" apart. Water well for high quality. Harvest young, as older roots become woody. Hotter, drier conditions lead to spicy roots. Radishes can be grown in partial shade during midsummer, which helps keep them cooler.
