Plant during a break in the weather in early- late March. Plant 2.5" deep, thin to 1' apart, with rows 18" apart. May take up to 3 weeks to emerge. Do not under-water as the weather warms up. Harvest dry seed pods in late summer into a bag. Free seeds by beating the bag, use a fan to separate light chaff from heavy beans.

In climates where winter temperatures do not dip below 15 degrees F, planting in fall is preferable.
