Lactuca sativa
Butterhead type with burgundy tinge that is very quick growing. This is a rare heirloom variety that could do very well in market production as the leaves stand up away from the soil and are easy to harvest and clean. Leaves a large and crispy forming loose heads that can be harvested as heads or as individual leaves. Nice texture. Relatively slow to bolt even in a hot summer.
