Brassica oleracea

This kale is blue green and great for bunching.  Easy to prep and chop into small pieces, this is the traditional Italian variety used for Minestrone Soup.  Can take a light frost.

Direct sow 1/8"-1/4" deep as soon as soil warms in spring for a spring/summer crop. Or direct sow just after the summer solstice for a fall/winter crop. Alternatively, start indoors 4 weeks before transplant. Transplant a few weeks before the last frost. Full size plants hardy to around 15 degrees.
