Quick facts:

- Juicy heading lettuce
Lactuca sativa
Heirloom heading lettuce that is bolt-resistant and beautiful! We love 'Sonata', which we obtained from the Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook where it is no longer listed. Exceedingly rare, we are the only seed company growing and selling this juicy winner! We love the medium sized heads and bright green color. Somewhat heat tolerant, this lettuce can be grown in full sun to part shade.

Direct sow up to 4 weeks before the average last frost. Harvest leaves young by cutting the whole plant. Plant successively every two weeks to keep you in young greens, or give them more space to mature and harvest the whole head. |
