85 days, Indeterminate. Traditional paste, saucing, and canning tomato of Italy, it bears abundantly on Indeterminate vines. Very dry flesh and very few seeds make this is true paste tomato.  Boiling times will be much shorter than with other tomatoes. Long cylindrical fruit, heavy producer.  Number two is an improved selection on this reliable heirloom.  Very widely grown and adapted- may be the most widely grown tomato variety in the world.  Holds well on the vine and in fresh storage.  Crack resistant.

Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before average last frost date. Plant seeds in sterile potting soil and provide 7-10 hours of direct light each day. Thin to the strongest plant per pot. Transplant 24"-36" apart in full sun, benefits from trellising. Harvest tomatoes at full red. Suitable for container gardens.
