We prefer to direct sow these just before the last frost date.  However, you may start indoors 4 weeks before the last frost date as they transplant quite well. Cover with 1/8" of soil and keep moist. Will not germinate if allowed to dry out. Ideal germination temperature is 70 degrees. Transplant 12" apart after all risk of frost has passed into a sunny, well drained location.
