Phaseolus vulgaris

Climbing, dry bean.  Large Portuguese white pole bean. Rare. Seeds obtained at Ogden, UT seed swap in 2014 and we’ve grown and loved them ever since. Vines reach 5’ + and require trellising. Not suitable as a green bean, harvest as a dry bean for cooking, very tasty!

100 days to dry bean. Direct sow 6” apart along a trellis after all danger of frost has past. Water well. Allow pods to dry down on plant for dry bean harvest.
