Solanum lycopersicum

75 days, Indeterminate. Late 1800s heirloom from the Black Forest region of Germany. Early maturing, dark red, juicy fruit with superb flavor. 6-8 oz fruits are blemish free and crack resistant, thrives in hot weather when other tomato varieties poop out. Use it for almost anything you'd use tomatoes for- slicing, salads, canning, and sauces.  Peels easily, hallelujah!  Some resistance to late blight and other diseases.

A bit of it's story:

Brought from Germany by Joseph A. Bratka of Elmwood Park, New Jersey.  Bratka's grandfather raised this tomato is the Black Forest region of Germany.  Bred to thrive in heat and/or humidity.  This tomato is part of our heat-tolerant tomato package.
