Direct sow up to 4 weeks before the average last frost. If you choose to, you can also start seeds indoors. Quite cold tolerant and more mild tasting in cooler weather, get this one started early to beat the heat as well as the pests. Harvest leaves young by cutting the whole plant or leaf by leaf. Plant successively every two weeks to keep you in young greens.
