- Wonderful and unique delicacy
Cucumis melo
40-45 days. Introduced to us and to the U.S. by Mehmet Oztan at Two Seeds in a Pod. Badem is a stuffing/pickling melon from Turkey, and we just loved it growing it! It's not a sweet melon, but has a lovely, fresh cucumber taste. It's very juicy and is producing early in the season. When pickling, pick them young. When stuffing, hollow out and/or dry larger fruits. Considered a delicacy where it is from in Antwerp, Turkey.
