Vigna unguiculata

This is a fun variety!  A super dwarf cowpea, measuring only 1' tall and wide.  Compact plants mature quickly, so even if it's not the most productive variety, it is a great choice for short seasons, northern climates, small spaces, and even container gardens.  Green pods with small, cream cowpeas.  This variety was developed by Professor Elwyn Meader of the University of New Hampshire specifically for northern gardens.  Sunapee is the name of a mountain ridge in New Hampshire.
