Lepidium spp.
30 days. Super frilly, ferny green from Kandahar, Afghanistan. We originally got this from the Experimental Farm Network, who got it from a USDA "agricultural explorer" E. E. Smith who visited Afghanistan in 1954. Flavor is similar to other cress, if a little bit spicier. Clip greens to add flavor to sandwiches, soups, etc.

Direct sow up to 4 weeks before the average last frost. If you choose to, you can also start seeds indoors. Quite cold tolerant and more mild tasting in cooler weather, get this one started early to beat the heat as well as the pests. Harvest leaves young by cutting the whole plant or leaf by leaf. Plant successively every two weeks to keep you in young greens.
