Quick facts

  • Hardneck Asiatic garlic
  • Easy to peel cloves
  • Purple striped

We are so excited to add this garlic to the mix this year!  Found in the Republic of Georgia but likely from Korea, this heirloom is very productive with large heads made of large cloves.  A robustly flavored garlic, initial strong heat yields to a mild and lasting spiciness.  Purple striped and beautifully shaped, this is a popular variety with experienced garlic growers!

How to grow it:

Plant individual cloves in fall, Sept-Oct, root side down, about 2 inches deep. Cover with straw mulch to help protect cloves from deep freezes. Harvest when leaves begin to dry down, around mid-July. Hang to let cure for 2-4 weeks in a covered location.

Quantities are per pound.
