Solanum lycopersicum

100 days. Rosy pink fruit of a beefsteak tomato. Fruits 1 lb! Heirloom dating back to 1885, the flavor of brandywine is irreplaceable, even though they take awhile to ripen. Green shoulders are typical of progressively-ripening heirloom tomatoes in which photosynthesis takes place in the fruit, therefore enhancing flavor and nutrient profile.

How to grow it:

Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before average last frost date. Thin to the strongest plant per pot. Transplant 36" apart in full sun near a trellis. Ripe tomatoes will not be fully red, but soft and pink with green shoulders.
