100 days. We can't say enough good things about this amazing landrace! This landrace is bred by Joseph Lofthouse of Landrace Garden Seeds in Paradise, Utah. He wanted a butternut type landrace with some diversity in fruit shape and size, with bright orange nutrient-dense flesh, and that thrived in organic gardens with low fertility. This landrace is gaining more and more notoriety as a great crop for organic gardens, market farms, and short season climates alike! We grow it every year, and we just love it! Super productive, yields an incredible amount of food in a small space. Tan butternut-shaped fruits vary in size, but are consistently delicious with a reliable butternut flavor. This landrace shows how appropriate traditional plant breeding can be a tool for a more sustainable, and yet still productive, agricultural future!

Plant 1-2" deep in small mounds 24" apart. Winter squash are heavy feeders so provide fertility initially, then every few weeks through the season. Harvest before the first frost, as even a slight frost will damage the flesh and make the squash unstorable. Allow to cure in a sunny, frost free location for 2-3 weeks.
