Welcome to Giving Ground Seeds

A Small Family Farm

Rare and Heirloom Varieties

Gardening with Nature

From our Idaho farm to your garden!

Our seeds are grown without chemicals on our no-till farm. All are open pollinated so you can save seeds for generations to come. We specialize in veggies for short seasons and we love offering some rare varieties you won't find anywhere else.

We have the health of people and the planet at heart with every seed we sow. In supporting Giving Ground Seeds you help us support gardeners in need, as we donate seeds to public and non-profit garden projects all over the country. By planting our seeds you are also supporting sustainable farming practices. We treat our farm as a natural ecosystem and these varieties are adapted to organic conditions so you can raise the purest possible food.

From our family to yours, Happy Cultivating!

Testimonials

Love ordering from small seed sellers like Giving Ground Seeds. They provide amazing service and wonderful unique varieties.

Bobby, a gardener in Ohio

I grew garlic for the first time last year using your seed garlic — the varieties are amazing! The flavor is so good and the bulbs are big and easy to peel!

Darcy, The Local Rasa

I live in Cheyenne WY. Your seeds work really well in our climate. I will always be your customer.

Donald in Wyoming

Almost every recipe I make starts with garlic and the "culinary garlic" sampler from GGS makes the least interesting ingredient the most interesting.  I never knew garlic had so much variety.

Justin, a gourmand in New York

I planted Giving Ground's licorice mint and we just love it! We use it for marinades for pork and lamb and in cocktails. At the end of the season it gets beautiful purple flowers that the bees and the occasional hummingbird love! I also planted Italian parsley and it thrives in a variety of locations around our yard - under the fruit trees, in shade, etc. We also planted their Bee Balm and the light purple flowers are beautiful and attract a completely different variety of pollinators to our yard. I highly recommend Giving Ground's products!
